Young Girls schooled in mentorship values

   Fozao Vaniela Over 13 teenage girls have attended a one day workshop aimed at evaluating the year's activities in order to plan for the next, has taken place to better equip the work force of these young ladies. Open Discussion It took place at White House Restaurant - commercial avenue Bamenda, organized by Kuwung Luzette from the African girls organization; examining projects, the year's activities in order to better plan for the upcoming year. According to Kuwung Luzette, she believed working with over 30 girls can make impact she intends to create, which to her "will be an advantage". Mentoring needs more than “just another job” in order for it to be successful. Certain qualities are therefore needed, to help and successfully communicate with students. Young people must learn to be proactive, flexible, enthusiastic, be ready to lead and be professional. These are values required of these young people for a Mentoring program to record success. Reporting GBV, Journalists Trained To Protect Survivors

    Fozao Vaniela Over 2 5 journalists have been trained on reporting Gender-Based Violence by Medecins du Monde Suisse while introducing a document with a code of ethics that can be used as a working guide to reporting cases of GBV, revealing stories of survivors. Participants met on December 9th, 2021 at Blue Pearl Hotel Bamenda to discuss effective ways of reporting stories of survivors of gender-based violence. It is in line with this that a working document on Gender-Based Violence was introduced. Open Discussion The Code of Ethics has principles of ‘do no harm’, sorting out ways to reduce the suffering of the vulnerable, while fighting gender inequality and promoting access to health for women and girls. Orphanage commune With NGO, Receive Support

    Fozao Vaniela Overview of Orphanage Members of the organization The Nkwenti Foundation and Empowered Ladies of Virtue Organization made a visit to Luc Menorah Orphanage and rehabilitation center, Mile 90 Bamenda took place on Dicember 23rd December 2021 to reach out to other persons with gifts during the festive period. According to them, sharing with the lesss priviledge during this period, is the best form of celebration. The intention was reaching out to vulnerable children and gift them items which will go a long way to sustain them. These Empowered Ladies group, visiting the orphanage made sure a a health talk on proper hygiene was part of the day's activity. To them, "their living conditions are not really the best. We feel that those children living there had no drinking water, their health condition isn't the best.
